Port 4989 and HTTP
Unfortunately, port 4989 is blocked by my works firewall but I use to get the option to connect using HTTP and could always play. Now HTTP is greyed out...is there a way I can get this option back?
Thanks
Hi.....I am able to log in sometimes get into an actual room but when I try to connect to a game, it locks up due to port being blocked, eventually I get the reconnect option with HTTP greyed out. Will try the link now.
Opening this url in your browser will switch HTTP option on:

http://www.flyordie.com/games/online/c/force-http.html

(Before using this url please answer my previous question too, thanks.)
Open the game by clicking on the big red "Play Now" button on playcurling.com
Do you get the list of rooms or the connection dialog?
Tried that but it did not work. I'm assuming something changed on my corporate firewall which I would have no way of modifying or justifying a change as its happening on multiple computers. Just frustrating as the option to choose HTTP use to be available in the past. No other way you know of to force this?
Thanks
If you cannot connect directly to the server then HTTP option should be enabled.
If it is not (after a failed connection attempt) then local settings stored in your browser might have become corrupted. In order to reset the game's HTTP setting open the following url in your browser:

http://www.flyordie.com/games/online/c/reset-http-setting.html

Then try again to connect.
Thanks for the speedy reply operator.......
