As I grow older and reach certain milestones within my Life [such as First girlfriend, First heartbreak, Higher Ed degree, Marriage, Newborn…

…as my Time fills up with activities that are no longer my own but account for others outside of myself…
Time seems to shrink around me simultaneously propelling faster as I age.

The concept of Time accelerating exponentially the older We become is not a new phenomenon, and I am not the only person that has perceived Time to “act” this way. The question that lurks in the shadows of my Mind always is…

“Why?”

Why does Time move in such a way that is so constant yet seems to breathe on its own like its own organism? …and Why is Time so unforgiving in its ever-present march that ticks down the clock of Our Time on this existential plane? …and How does Time seem to at times flash before Our eyes while at other moments last for what seems a Lifetime?

“What is Time?”

Time is the currency for which We owe everything. It is the vessel that allows Us to operate and reach and achieve those directives that We desire. I have a quote above my cube that I read every morning before I start my workday. It reads: “Time is the most valuable entity in Our existence; How We spend it determines the quality of our Lives.”
This quote is not meant to be hyperbole; It speaks of a Truth that everyone must succumb to. That Truth is that Time is finite for Us, and everything that We do with Our Time costs Us a little bit of our Life. I have been thinking about this Fact a lot lately as the World seems to be on the brink of Political collapse, Economic collapse, and Social collapse. Sometimes, thinking about these things keeps me up at night to the point of [almost] collapsing myself.

But – just when I think I am about to break…I am reminded of [Time]. This entity, maybe even [Fourth Dimension] will span so deep and so vast that Everything that ever was, is, and ever will be … is Impermanence.

One of my favorite quotes about Truth is from Miyamoto Musashi when I overcame an excruciatingly difficult stage of my Life. It reads: “Truth is not what you want it to be; It is what it is, and you must bend to its power or live a lie.”
I am sure there are many different interpretations to this quote, but for me it means that Truth may not be pretty, Truth may not be elegant, Truth may not be what you want to hear. However, Truth will always be. 

So – with all that is at stake in our current state of reality, [Time] for Us as Humanity is Vital, it is Fleeting, but most importantly…

Time … Heals … All.
