Why do players 250+ rating decline to play players of 100 and under rating? 250+ rating is far superior and will beat 100 and under rating Further 100 and under rating can learn from 250+ rating
Higher-rated players often choose not to play much lower-rated opponents because the rating system awards very few points for a win, but a significant loss of points if they lose. This creates a natural tendency for advanced players to seek matches closer to their level. That said, many experienced players do still play lower-rated opponents and those matches can indeed be a great learning experience.
